Seoul, South Korea – New leaks have revealed that Samsung is planning a major change to its smartphone launch strategy in 2027, through a new plan called “4+4,”
which includes the release of eight phones distributed across different categories,
with the return of the triple-jointed foldable phone Galaxy Z TriFold after an absence,
in a move aimed at strengthening competition in the smartphone market.
A new strategy to diversify the lineup
According to leaks, the “4+4” plan is based on launching four traditional phones from the Galaxy S series,
along with four foldable devices, which represents a notable shift in Samsung’s annual policy,
and aims to give users wider options that meet the needs of different categories,
whether they are looking for flagship phones or foldable devices.
The trifold phone is back
Information suggests that Samsung is preparing to reintroduce the Galaxy Z TriFold,
which features a three-folding screen, after developing its design and technologies,
providing a larger screen and a more flexible user experience,
as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the foldable phone market,
which is witnessing increasing competition from global technology companies.
A bet on innovation and competition
Observers believe that the new strategy reflects Samsung’s move towards
expanding its product portfolio and focusing on innovation,
relying on artificial intelligence technologies, improving performance, battery life and user experience,
which will help the company maintain its position in the smartphone market,
and face the growing competition in the flagship category and foldable devices in the coming years.
