Manama, Bahrain – The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the release of photos and details of the cell linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which was recently apprehended.

The Ministry confirmed that investigations uncovered an organized network operating

within the country through external connections and with members based in Iran.

The Ministry stated that 11 individuals residing in Iran serve as the link and coordinators with the cell’s members in Bahrain.

It also indicated that investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and connections related to the case.

Infiltration of religious and educational institutions

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior confirmed that the organization relied on members affiliated

with the dissolved Ulema Council and worked to infiltrate religious, social, charitable,

and educational institutions as part of a plan to influence Bahraini society and expand its organizational reach.

The Ministry added that members of the organization managed to infiltrate a number of institutions,

including kindergartens, schools, and religious seminaries.

They exploited these platforms to promote political and sectarian agendas linked to foreign entities.

The Ministry explained that investigations revealed that members of the organization controlled

the sermons of some religious figures and worked to politicize them.

This was done to serve the organization’s objectives and its orientations, which are linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Accusations of practicing organized terrorism

The Ministry of Interior stated that members of the organization practiced what it described

as “organized terrorism” against members of their own sect within Bahrain,

through systematic pressure, threats, and intimidation,

with the aim of imposing political and organizational allegiances.

The Ministry confirmed that the organization relied on collecting funds illegally and using them for activities contrary to the law.

This was part of financing operations linked to the organization’s movements and objectives within the country.

Bahraini authorities emphasized the continuation of security and legal measures against all those involved.

They also affirmed that protecting the Kingdom’s security and stability is a top priority.

Investigations and security measures continue

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior confirmed that security forces are continuing their monitoring

and surveillance operations to uncover any further branches of the organization.

It also stressed that Bahrain will not tolerate any attempts to target

its internal security or incite division and sectarianism within society.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to taking all necessary legal measures against those involved,

in coordination with the competent judicial authorities.

It stated that this ensures the protection of security and stability and the preservation of civil peace in the Kingdom.
