El Alamein, Egypt — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi hosted Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, in El Alamein to discuss strategic bilateral relations and regional developments. Consequently, both parties emphasized the necessity for all sides to uphold their commitments under the Gaza ceasefire agreement established at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit. Furthermore, President El-Sisi highlighted the importance of continued joint cooperation to mitigate regional escalation and reinforce Middle East stability.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Security

The high-level meeting—attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Badr Abdel Aty and General Intelligence Chief Minister Hassan Rashad—included personal greetings transmitted from President Trump. Additionally, President El-Sisi praised the enduring strategic ties between Cairo and Washington, reiterating Egypt’s commitment to expanding mutual coordination across shared priorities.

On the other hand, discussions focused on rapid geopolitical changes across the Middle East and methods to resolve ongoing regional crises. Consequently, Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that both sides emphasized joint action to support regional and international peace.

Gaza Ceasefire Implementation and Diplomatic Efforts

Detailed discussions centered on the Palestinian cause and the trajectory of the Gaza Strip, prioritizing mechanisms to stabilize the truce. Additionally, the meeting underscored the imperative of executing all pledges made during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit to ensure sustained peace and address humanitarian and security files.

For his part, Kushner commended Egypt’s pivotal leadership under President El-Sisi in advancing regional security and peace. Finally, the meeting reinforces the critical role of Egypt-US strategic cooperation in navigating complex Middle Eastern dynamics. Ultimately, sustained diplomatic coordination between Cairo and Washington remains essential for lasting regional peace.
