Tehran, Iran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated his country’s insistence on its conditions in any potential negotiations with the United States. He emphasized that Tehran would only accept a “fair and comprehensive” agreement that takes its national interests into account and lifts the imposed restrictions.
In remarks carried by Iranian media, Araqchi explained that any negotiating track with Washington must be based on a balanced approach, free from the politics of pressure and sanctions. He affirmed that his country is open to diplomatic solutions, but “not at any price.”
He indicated that Iran believes it is essential to address all outstanding issues comprehensively, including the nuclear file and the lifting of economic sanctions. He also stressed the importance of clear guarantees against a return to pressure tactics.
These statements come at a time of increasing speculation about the possibility of resuming negotiations between the two sides, amidst regional and international mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region and reviving the dialogue process.
