Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei asserted that Iran will not allow the United States to interfere in or meddle with its affairs, comparing the situation to what happened in Venezuela.
Khamenei said in his remarks that his country will continue to protect its sovereignty and confront any external attempts to influence its internal policies or strategic programs.
In contrast, Israeli researcher Elizabeth Tsurkov strongly criticized the Iranian regime, describing Khamenei’s rule as a “tragedy” for the Iranian people.
Tsurkov stated on her Twitter account (formerly known as “X”) that the regime has failed to prevent Israel from establishing drone factories near Tehran, as well as to counter the recruitment and development of precision missiles and the targeting of senior Iranian security officials. She added that this raises doubts about the regime’s ability to withstand any potential American intervention.
Tsurkov asserted that the economic and political situation in Iran has worsened due to the devaluation of the local currency, which she attributed to US sanctions. She noted the Iranian regime’s rejection of Washington’s offer to lift sanctions in exchange for abandoning uranium enrichment on its territory.
She explained that Iran continues to strive to revive its nuclear program after the partial destruction of its facilities, despite the current restrictions imposed by the events of the past, known as the “Twelve-Day War.”
These statements come at a time when Iran is witnessing ongoing popular protests against the deteriorating economic and political situation, amid continued tension with the United States and Israel.
