Moscow, Russia – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that his country deeply values China’s focus on strategic tasks agreed upon by the leaders of both countries during recent meetings, noting that Russian-Chinese cooperation is progressing at an accelerating pace. This reflects the level of mutual trust between the two sides.

In remarks following official meetings in the Russian capital, Lavrov explained that coordination between Moscow and Beijing encompasses political, economic, and security issues. These matters fall within the priorities of their long-term partnership, and he emphasized that China’s commitment to pursuing these tasks “reflects a clear commitment to the path of integration between the two countries.”

The Russian minister stressed that the current stage requires greater diplomatic coordination to address international challenges. He noted that relations between Russia and China have become a key element in the stability of the global arena, and that the two countries are working to strengthen their presence in economic and regional blocs.

Observers believe Lavrov’s statements come at a time when cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is expanding, particularly in the areas of energy, advanced technology, and trade. This is occurring amidst significant shifts in the balance of power within the international system.
