  • Support for Peace Frameworks and International Coordination

Cairo, Egypt — Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his British counterpart issued a joint condemnation of recent inflammatory statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, which advocated for the daily killing and displacement of Gazans. Consequently, both ministers affirmed during Cairo discussions that such rhetoric blatantly violates international humanitarian law. Furthermore, they warned that extreme statements escalate regional volatility and derail diplomatic stability efforts.

Firm Rejection of Forced Displacement and Settlement Expansion

The Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Cairo’s unequivocal rejection of any measures aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians or altering Gaza’s geographic and demographic status. Additionally, Abdelatty condemned expanding settlement activities, land confiscations, and settler violence across the occupied West Bank, calling for decisive international intervention.

Egypt maintains that safeguarding Palestinian civilian rights and halting unilateral actions remain vital for de-escalation. Consequently, Cairo emphasizes the necessity of strengthening support for the Palestinian Authority to preserve institutional stability.

Support for Peace Frameworks and International Coordination

The bilateral discussions highlighted support for broader peace frameworks and UN Security Council Resolution 2803 as foundational steps toward a viable political resolution. Additionally, both nations agreed on the urgency of intensifying international action to protect civilians and mitigate humanitarian hardship.

Finally, the unified Egyptian-British stance underscores growing opposition to provocative political platforms in the occupied territories. Ultimately, sustained diplomatic cooperation and adherence to international resolutions remain essential for achieving lasting regional peace.
