London, UK – The British government has expressed its deep concern over the rapidly deteriorating security and humanitarian situation in the West Bank, calling for urgent action to contain the escalation and prevent the crisis from worsening. It stressed the importance of protecting civilians and upholding international law.
The British Foreign Office emphasized that the continued violence and tension in the West Bank threaten to further destabilize the region, and urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further escalation that could lead to more casualties.
London urged Israeli authorities to exercise restraint during security operations and to take the necessary measures to protect civilians, stressing the importance of avoiding any steps that could escalate tensions or complicate the chances of reaching a lasting ceasefire.
Britain also reiterated its call for a resumption of diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation, emphasizing that political solutions and dialogue remain the best way to achieve security and stability and end the cycle of violence in the Palestinian territories.
