Washington, DC – The United States reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, emphasizing its firm rejection of any attempts to destabilize the region or threaten the sovereignty of its member states.
Alison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, affirmed that relations between Washington and the Gulf states are based on a solid partnership built on close cooperation in security, defense, and economic fields, which enhances shared interests and serves the stability of the region.
Hooker explained that the United States views the security of the Gulf states as a fundamental part of its efforts to maintain regional security, emphasizing continued coordination with Gulf partners to address shared challenges, support maritime security, and ensure the stability of global energy markets.
The US official stressed that Washington will continue working with the Gulf states to strengthen strategic cooperation and develop joint coordination mechanisms, contributing to the protection of regional security and supporting peace and stability efforts in the Middle East.
