Aqaba, Jordan – The Director of Aqaba Ports confirmed today, Sunday, that operations at the port are proceeding normally, emphasizing that the facility remains unaffected by the missile interception operations witnessed in the region. The Director stressed that the port is operating at full capacity, with comprehensive emergency plans ready to manage any potential developments, ensuring the continuity of maritime traffic and operational supply chains.

Stability of Operational Activities

In statements reflecting a high state of vigilance and coordination, the Director of Aqaba Ports explained that all activities within the port, including vessel traffic and cargo loading/unloading operations, are proceeding according to the regular schedule. The official denied any impact on the port resulting from recent regional security developments, confirming the administration’s commitment to providing all logistics services normally and without interruption.

Readiness of Emergency Plans

The official highlighted that the port administration possesses integrated and periodically updated emergency plans to deal with various potential scenarios. He explained that these plans aim primarily to ensure the safety of personnel, protect critical infrastructure, and maintain the continuity of operations under all circumstances. These preventive measures are implemented according to the highest approved standards and in full coordination with official authorities and relevant security bodies in the Kingdom.

These statements come as the port administration monitors regional developments minute-by-minute to ensure the flow of maritime traffic and trade. As a vital artery for the national economy, the port reaffirms its constant readiness to manage any challenges, while applying the highest degrees of caution to guarantee the continued excellent performance of the port as a primary gateway for trade in the region.
