Washington, DC – Reuters reported that the White House has extended a formal invitation to the Lebanese president to visit the United States on July 21, as part of efforts by both countries to strengthen bilateral relations. A number of regional and international issues of mutual interest will also be discussed.

According to the agency, the visit is expected to include meetings with senior US administration officials. These meetings will address developments in Lebanon and ways to support political and economic stability. In addition, the latest security developments in the region will be discussed.

The two sides are also expected to discuss mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between Beirut and Washington. In addition, files related to economic reforms and support for Lebanese institutions will be discussed. Discussions will also include developments in the situation on the southern border in light of the current security challenges.
The American invitation comes at a time when the region is witnessing intense diplomatic movements. This call also occurs amid international efforts to contain tensions and promote stability. At the same time, political circles are awaiting the results of the visit. These results may contribute to advancing cooperation between the two countries during the next stage.
