Ankara, Turkey – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed that his country is ready to participate in any international efforts aimed at clearing mines from the Strait of Hormuz. This comes within the framework of supporting maritime security and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of global trade.

Erdoğan explained that Turkey is closely monitoring security developments in the region. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the stability of strategic maritime routes, foremost among them the Strait of Hormuz. This strait is one of the world’s most vital energy and trade arteries.

He noted that Ankara possesses the necessary expertise and technical capabilities to contribute to mine-clearing operations and ensure maritime security. He also emphasized that international cooperation on this issue is essential to prevent any escalation that could impact the global economy and oil supplies.

The Turkish president stressed that his country will continue to support efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions. He also affirmed the importance of diplomatic solutions for maintaining the security and stability of the region.
