Beirut, Lebanon – Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanese territory on Friday killed 83 people, AFP reported. Many more civilians have been killed in similar attacks over the past weeks.

These attacks represent one of the heaviest waves of bombing since the start of the current war, with numerous lives killed as a result.

The death toll exceeds 4,000

According to the agency, the total death toll in Lebanon since March 2nd has surpassed 4,000, reflecting the tragic extent of those killed in the ongoing conflict.

as military operations and mutual escalation continue on the Lebanese front.

Data indicates a steady rise in the number of casualties in recent weeks.

This comes amidst an expansion of airstrikes targeting multiple areas in southern Lebanon and other regions.

Ongoing field escalation

These heavy casualties come as Israeli airstrikes continue against targets inside Lebanese territory, causing many to be killed or injured.

amid mutual accusations of violating ceasefire agreements and failing to adhere to the truce.

The past few days have witnessed a marked escalation in the pace of military operations.

This has resulted in more casualties and widespread damage to property and infrastructure.

Growing humanitarian consequences

The rising death toll is raising increasing concerns about the humanitarian situation in Lebanon,

particularly as waves of displacement continue and pressure mounts on health facilities and basic services.

Humanitarian and relief organizations continue to warn of deteriorating living conditions in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, international calls are growing for de-escalation and a ceasefire to minimize casualties and protect civilians.
