Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Emirates Red Crescent has allocated new humanitarian aid worth AED 36.7 million to support the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. This is part of Operation “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3“. It was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates. Also, it is implemented by the UAE to alleviate the suffering of those affected. Furthermore, it aims to enhance response to the growing humanitarian needs in the sector.
This came under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.
Alleviating the suffering of those affected
This initiative comes as an extension of the UAE’s established humanitarian approach, and under the directives of its leadership. To support the Palestinian people and stand by them in facing the humanitarian challenges they are facing. By providing urgent relief aid and strengthening humanitarian response efforts in various vital sectors.
The directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan embody the UAE’s continued keenness to alleviate the suffering of those affected. They aim to provide them with basic necessities of life. In a way that enhances their resilience and contributes to improving their humanitarian and living conditions.
A well-established Emirati approach
This aid also falls within the ongoing humanitarian efforts implemented by the UAE to support our Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip. In addition, it embodies the UAE’s firm approach to extending a helping hand to those in need. It also supports those affected around the world.
The aid includes providing more than 160,000 food baskets and more than 40,000 sanitary parcels. It also includes quantities of other basic supplies and needs. In a way that contributes to supporting affected families and meeting their living and health needs under the current circumstances.
Continuing humanitarian and relief efforts
The Emirates Red Crescent Authority confirmed the continuation of its humanitarian and relief efforts within Operation “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3“. By implementing qualitative programmes and initiatives in the areas of food security, health care, shelter and community support. In coordination with relevant authorities and humanitarian partners, ensuring that aid reaches beneficiaries and achieves the greatest possible humanitarian impact.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Red Crescent Authority continues, as part of Operation “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3“, to implement a series of relief and development programs and projects aimed at supporting the affected population in the Gaza Strip. This is based on its humanitarian mission and firm commitment to alleviating human suffering wherever it exists. Moreover, it consolidates the values of human solidarity and mutual support pursued by the UAE.
