  • The Arab Group Rejects Any Demographic Change
  • Protecting Civilians and Prioritizing the Halt of Forced Displacement

New York, United States | The Saudi representative to the United Nations confirmed a firm stance. The Arab Group declared its total rejection of Israel’s expansionist policy. Specifically, the group rejects the expansion of annexation operations in the Palestinian territories. Furthermore, the Saudi representative stressed the necessity of adhering to international law. He also emphasized the paramount importance of respecting relevant UN resolutions.

On the other hand, Arab countries are watching Israeli measures with deep concern. The representative confirmed that these policies negatively affect the region. They completely undermine the chances of reaching a just solution. They also severely hinder the achievement of a comprehensive peace for the conflict.

The Arab Group Rejects Any Demographic Change

In a related context, the Arab Group rejects any steps to change the legal status. It also rejects any attempts to change the demographic situation of the Palestinian territories. Consequently, expanding annexation is considered a flagrant violation of international laws. In addition to that, the representative demanded clear and strong positions from the international community. The world must move to prevent complicating peace efforts.

Protecting Civilians and Prioritizing the Halt of Forced Displacement

Furthermore, the representative stressed the necessity of stopping the displacement of Palestinians immediately. Protecting civilians and ensuring their survival is currently a basic priority. Displacement and forced migration are major sources of concern. Hence, Arab countries will continue to support the rights of the Palestinian people. This support is fully consistent with international legitimacy resolutions.

In conclusion, the Saudi representative called on the international community to intensify its efforts. It must work to stop measures that exacerbate the crisis. It is also necessary to provide the conditions required to achieve peace and stability. The Arab Group is committed to continuing its support for the legitimate rights of Palestinians. This aims to enhance the chances of reaching a just and lasting settlement.
