Moscow, Russia – Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that his country will continue developing advanced missile systems capable of overcoming all current and future missile defense systems. This comes as part of Russia’s efforts to strengthen its defense and strategic capabilities.

Putin stated that Moscow is continuously modernizing its military arsenal

and developing advanced technologies to ensure the maintenance of strategic balance.

He also noted that the Russian defense industry is making progress in the areas of strategic missiles and modern deterrence systems.

Developing strategic capabilities

The Russian president explained that his country is paying close attention to developing strategic weapons

with high maneuverability and the ability to penetrate air and missile defense systems.

He emphasized that these steps are necessary to ensure Russia’s national security in light of growing international challenges.

He added that the Russian military continues to modernize its systems according to long-term plans aimed at maintaining combat readiness.

These plans also aim to strengthen strategic deterrence capabilities.

Putin’s remarks come amid escalating international tensions and ongoing military competition among major powers,

particularly concerning the development of missile defense systems and hypersonic weapons.

Emphasis on the strength of the defense industries

Observers believe that Moscow, through these military programs, seeks to maintain the global balance of power.

It also aims to counter the expansion of Western defense systems, which Russia considers a direct threat to its strategic capabilities.

Putin emphasized that the Russian military-industrial complex possesses the capacity to produce

and develop advanced systems that meet the needs of the armed forces.

He affirmed the state’s continued support for military research and development programs in the coming period.

He indicated that Russia will continue to modernize its army and defense systems to ensure it can confront any future threats.

This aims to maintain its position as a major military power on the international stage.
