Washington, United States – The US Central Command announced that its forces are on standby to ensure all ships comply with procedures related to the blockade imposed on Iranian ports, amid escalating regional tensions and an increasing focus on the security of maritime routes.

The command confirmed that its naval forces are working to intensify their deployment in vital areas, in order to monitor the movement of ships and ensure their compliance with issued instructions, noting that these measures come within a broader framework to maintain security and stability in the region.
Ensuring the security of international navigation
The leadership explained that the aim of these moves is to protect vital sea lanes and ensure the continued flow of global trade without hindrance, especially given the strategic importance of the territorial waters through which a large proportion of the world’s energy supplies pass.
