Amman, Jordan – The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Jordan affirmed that the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum, scheduled for next June, comes at a crucial time. This is due to the economic and geopolitical challenges facing the region and the world, and the Ambassador noted that the Forum will be a pivotal platform for strengthening strategic partnerships between the two sides.
The Ambassador explained that the Forum aims to expand areas of joint cooperation between Arab countries and China, particularly in the sectors of infrastructure, clean energy, technology, trade, and investment. This aims to support sustainable development plans for Arab countries and open new horizons for economic growth.
He added that China views the Arab world as an important strategic partner and that there is a growing desire to enhance the volume of mutual investments. This is achieved by facilitating trade and exchanging expertise in various development fields, serving the interests of both sides.
He noted that the forum’s convening is of particular importance given the current regional circumstances. It is expected to contribute to supporting stability efforts in the region by strengthening economic cooperation, which is a cornerstone of political and social stability.
He pointed out that Arab-Chinese relations have witnessed remarkable development in recent years, with an increasing number of joint projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and industrial zones. He also affirmed that the coming period will witness further expansion of this cooperation at various levels.
