Bern, Switzerland – A routine train journey turned into a nightmare in Switzerland after a train derailed in a populated area, triggering panic among passengers and passersby. Swiss police suspect several people were injured, and rescue and police teams are racing to the scene. They are working to secure passengers and evacuate the injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the train cars suddenly slid off the tracks, bringing all train and traffic in the surrounding area to a complete standstill. Some passengers described the moment as “tragic,” with screams and panic filling the air. Ambulances and medical teams rushed to the scene to try to control the situation.

Swiss authorities closed the roads leading to the train station and urged residents to avoid the area until the rescue and investigation operations are complete. Technical investigation teams have begun examining the possible causes of the accident. Police sources suspect a technical malfunction in the train cars or a problem with the signaling system.

The area is on edge, with local and international media closely following the developments. In light of this, there are calls for passengers and families to remain calm and adhere to the instructions of the authorities to ensure their safety.
