Cairo, Egypt – The renowned musician Hany Shenouda, a leading pioneer of modern Egyptian music, has passed away at the age of 83. He leaves behind a distinguished career spanning decades, during which he made an exceptional mark on the world of music and arrangement, and helped discover and launch numerous talents who shaped the history of Egyptian song.

Media personality Mahmoud Saad announced the passing of the late musician on his page, writing: “Goodbye, Uncle Hany… a wonderful, sincere artist… You delighted us… and then you departed… Farewell, Hany Shenouda… and thank you for all you gave… Sincere condolences to the family and all his admirers.”

Hany Shenouda’s latest works
The final work of musician Hany Shenouda was the song “Bahlam Ma’ak” (I Dream With You), which he reimagined with a fresh musical vision. This project marked the first collaboration between rapper Ziad Zaza and singer Tina—a talent he had discovered and introduced to the public—through a new arrangement of the famous song originally performed by Najat Al-Saghira, serving as his last artistic endeavor before his passing.
