Cairo, Egypt – Samira Said has finished recording a new song for her upcoming album, which is set to be released in the coming period, as part of her preparations to launch the album during the summer of 2026.
New cooperation
The new song is written by poet Hani Ragab, while the music was composed by Madih Mohsen, in a new collaboration that adds to the series of works presented by the diva within her anticipated album.
The success of the “Keda Haram” music video
Samira Said recently released the music video for her song “Keda Haram” (That’s Wrong), with lyrics by Ayman Bahgat Amar, music by Amr Mostafa, and arrangement by Mohamed Mostafa. Khaled Raouf handled the mixing and mastering, and Nidal Hani directed the video. “Keda Haram” carries a humanitarian message calling for peace and the rejection of violence. Some of its lyrics say: “Heaven and earth and life… a vast kingdom People of every color… feeling the same pain There’s no safety or peace left in this life No place for innocence anymore, that’s wrong If black prevails, then peace will prevail in the world This isn’t a world, it’s a jungle Are these people humans or wolves?”
Commemorating her collaboration with Hani Shaker
In a touching and humane gesture, Samira Said revived the memory of a rare artistic collaboration with the late artist Hani Shaker by posting an old video clip on her official Instagram page.
Samira commented on the video, saying: “May God have mercy on the great artist Hani Shaker… We shared many beautiful memories across many stages… and this work was one of the closest to my heart… because it came at the beginning of our careers… and from it, a friendship that lasted for many years began… May God have mercy on him.”
