The series returns with a collection of different stories that carry the same exciting spirit that attracted the audience from the beginning.
7 new stories with a psychological and mysterious theme
Karim Abu Zikri revealed that the second part will include 7 new stories, based on ideas completely different from the first part, but will retain the same psychological character, mystery, and suspense that distinguished the work.
The producer confirmed that the new stories will present tales full of psychological complexities and dramatic surprises, with different characters and unexpected events, expressing his hope that the second part will achieve the same success as the first season.
Widespread success of the first part
The first part of the series “What You See Is Not What It Appears To Be” premiered in August 2025 on the DMC network and the Watch It and Shahid platforms, achieving widespread success at the time, topping the most-watched lists. Its seven stories also occupied entire spots on the most-watched list on the Watch It platform, marking one of the most prominent youth drama successes in recent times.
A different idea that attracted the audience
The series was based on the idea of separate but interconnected stories, with each story spanning five episodes for a total of 35 episodes, and featuring a different cast for each story, which gave the work great diversity in characters, ideas, and dramatic styles.
Young stars who caught the eye
The first part featured a large number of young stars who strongly attracted attention, starting with the story “Flashback” starring Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Mariam El Gendy and Khaled Anwar, which dealt with man’s struggle with his memories, and continuing with the story “Time 2028” starring Hanadi Muhanna, which presented a different experience about time travel and psychological disorders.
