Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian cinemas witnessed a noticeable surge in activity at the box office on Friday, with clear variations in revenue among the films shown, amidst fierce competition to attract audiences during the weekend.
“Barshama” tops the box office
The film “Barshama” topped the list of daily revenues by a large margin, achieving 2,468,131 pounds, through the sale of 14,971 tickets, continuing its lead and confirming its ability to attract the audience, especially during periods of high demand during holidays.
EGY BEST.. in second place
The film “EgyBest” came in second place with revenues of 480,232 Egyptian pounds, after selling 2,943 tickets, maintaining its presence among the competing films despite the fierce competition. The film “Safah El Tagamoa” came in third place with total revenues of 379,195 Egyptian pounds, with 2,265 tickets sold, continuing its steady performance that reflects the audience’s interest in thrillers and suspense films.
Family Business…in fourth place
The film *Family Business* came in fourth place, earning £105,960 from 692 tickets sold, with an average performance compared to the higher-ranked films. *Notice of Death* came in last place with revenues of only £14,717 from 103 tickets sold, reflecting a clear decline in audience turnout.
