Cairo, Egypt – The digital platform “Shasha” released the first teaser poster for its new series “The Ferry,” ahead of its upcoming release. The series sheds light on one of the most famous maritime disasters in Egypt, directed by Mohamed Salama.

The platform revealed the poster via its official Instagram account, accompanied by a comment hinting at the imminent release of the series, which increased the anticipation, especially with its description as one of the biggest drama productions expected in the coming period.

“The Ferry” deals with the details of the sinking of the Al-Salam 98 ferry, focusing on the last hours experienced by the passengers, showcasing moving human stories of resilience and sacrifice, along with the struggle for survival at sea, while also addressing the legal repercussions that followed the incident.
Advanced technologies for a realistic experience
The work relies on the use of advanced underwater photography techniques, along with high-quality visual effects, with the aim of presenting scenes that realistically simulate drowning moments, which required a long preparation period and great effort in the implementation and production stages.
Finalizing preparations and selecting the work team
Currently, the production company is continuing to complete the remaining elements of the work, as the cast and technical staff are being carefully selected, in preparation for the start of filming in the coming period, in order to ensure that the work comes out at the highest artistic level that matches the magnitude of the event it deals with.
