Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Dermatology and Laser World Conference and Exhibition “Dubai Derma 2026” concluded its 25th session on Thursday at the Dubai World Trade Centre. After recording direct and indirect commercial deals worth 2.6 billion dirhams.
During its three days, the event attracted more than one visitor from 115 countries, and more than 340 speakers participated in its scientific program, while more than 400 exhibiting companies representing more than 1,800 international brands participated in the exhibition.
The conference program varied between scientific sessions, discussion of clinical cases, practical training, and an international exhibition specialized in dermatology, cosmetology, and lasers.
Issues
The closing day’s sessions focused on a number of important clinical issues, including the impact of climate change on skin diseases, developments in the treatment of vitiligo, alopecia, acne and psoriasis, in addition to the diagnosis and treatment of allergies, eczema and infectious skin diseases.
The sessions also included the results of dermoscopy in melanin-rich skin, new methods for dealing with difficult skin conditions, the growing role of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and clinical decision-making, new and established treatments in practice, the scientific evidence supporting them, their safety, and ways to use them practically in patient care.
The program devoted a session to dermatology for people of color, which dealt with the diagnosis of inflammatory skin diseases according to their clinical patterns, and the effect of skin color and identity in choosing cosmetic procedures.
Within the sessions of the Arab Dermatologists Association, speakers discussed the formulation of commands when using artificial intelligence in dermatology, injecting vitamin D into the lesion to treat warts, the therapeutic uses of potassium iodide, new topical treatments, biological medications and similar biological alternatives, as well as means to help diagnose complex conditions.
Treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria
The program’s discussions extended over three days to include the latest methods of treating chronic spontaneous urticaria. Dealing with treatment-resistant fungal infections, with a focus on transferring scientific evidence into clinical practice.
The International Clinical Poster Presentation Competition provided researchers and practitioners with space to present their work before specialized jury committees. Discuss the results with colleagues from around the world. The event concluded with honoring the most prominent participants in the clinical case presentations and digital scientific poster competitions.
The Arab Academy for Dermatology, Cosmetology and Laser Fellowship Course included theoretical and practical training in skin surgery and mesotherapy. Platelet-rich plasma, platelet-rich fibrin, biofillings, injection therapies, and laser procedures.
