Abu Dhabi, Emirates – The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday that media reports regarding an alleged missile attack on Al Minhad Air Base are completely unfounded. The Ministry added that it remains fully prepared and ready to address any potential threats, ensuring the nation’s sovereignty, security, and stability. The Ministry also urged the public to obtain information from official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors or inaccurate information.
Earlier on Monday, the Iranian military claimed to have launched dozens of explosive-laden drones targeting military sites housing US troops and helicopters. These troops and helicopters are stationed at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE Ministry of Defense also announced that its air force successfully intercepted a drone over the country’s territorial waters that had originated from Iran. This comes amid escalating regional tensions.
The Ministry affirmed that the armed forces are fully prepared and ready to decisively address all threats. It noted that air defense systems continue their vital missions of monitoring and tracking the airspace around the clock to protect the country’s security. The Ministry also urged the public to obtain all news and information exclusively from official sources and to refrain from circulating rumors and misinformation.
