Dubai, UAE – Shipping Solutions, a subsidiary of DP World’s marine services division DB World, has named its new dual-fuel and methanol vessel DB World London. During a ceremony held in Aarhus, Denmark, in a new achievement within the group’s investments in building more interconnected, flexible, and less carbon-emitting supply chains.
The group said in a statement that DB World London is a container ship with a capacity of 1,250 20-foot standard containers, built in China. It was delivered in April 2026, and is owned by the German company Elbdich Redray, while it is operated by DB World’s Shipping Solutions.
The ship flies the Portuguese flag and will operate on the Northern European route.

The ship is 148 meters long and is equipped with a modern five-cylinder main engine, with exhaust gas recirculation technology. Which contributes to reducing emissions and supporting compliance with international environmental standards.
The ship completed its first refueling operation in Rotterdam on June 25, 2026, in cooperation with Unibarge as the ship’s refueling partner. Methanix supplied methanol.
The naming of “DB World London»” comes after the ship “DB World Indus” recently joined the group’s coastal shipping fleet in India. This reflects DP World Group’s continued investment in developing its fleet across major trade corridors.
