Dubai, UAE – Dubai Airports Chief Operating Officer Majid Al Joker said, “Dubai Airports is preparing for a peak period of heavy traffic. With expectations of receiving about 3.7 million passengers.

He pointed out that the work teams raise readiness levels and enhance coordination between the various components of the airport community. To ensure streamlined operations and provide a comfortable experience for travelers.

The Joker added that the coming period will witness daily traffic of about 222,000 passengers. While transit passenger traffic will constitute about 46% of the total traffic. He explained that these figures reflect the importance of the coming period and the need for the highest levels of readiness and coordination between the various entities operating at Dubai International Airport.

He pointed out that work teams are working around the clock, not only to deal with the increase in passenger numbers and raise the efficiency of operations. But also to ensure the ability to deal with any changes that may occur at different stages of the traveler’s journey. From arrival and baggage claim procedures to various service points.

The Joker stressed that the airport community works in continuous coordination between various parties, with the aim of providing a smooth and comfortable experience for travelers. Stressing that readiness is not limited to the efficiency of operations and dealing with the increase in the number of passengers. Rather, it extends to providing a welcoming experience that reflects Dubai’s status and keenness to receive its guests.

He pointed out the launch of a group of welcoming experiences within the “Welcome Back to Dubai” initiative, which includes touches of hospitality and interactive activities in a number of airport areas.

He explained that among these experiences were the presentation of musical performances and interactive characters in the baggage claim areas. In addition to a platform in the arrivals hall that allows travelers to design their own welcome panels. In addition to providing hospitality and free drinks.

The Joker stressed that the goal is for every passenger, regardless of the volume of traffic at the airport, to feel that «Dubai welcomes him».
