Rome, Italy – Trends Global and the European Gulf Information Center EGIC signed a memorandum of understanding for research cooperation in the Italian capital, Rome. To launch a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing scientific research, developing strategic analysis, and consolidating knowledge dialogue. On regional and international issues of common interest, in a move to strengthen his research presence in Europe.
The signing of the memorandum came on the sidelines of a joint discussion organized by Trends Global through its virtual office in Italy. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for research cooperation and the role of think tanks in anticipating the future and analyzing the rapid geopolitical and economic transformations. In addition to the importance of building sustainable knowledge partnerships capable of producing scientific insights that support decision-makers and keep pace with global changes.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Trends Global by Principal Investigator Awad Al-Buraiki, Director General, and on behalf of the European-Gulf Information Centre EGIC by Matthew Robinson, Director of the Centre.

Lead researcher Awad Al-Buraiki stressed that cooperation with the European-Gulf Information Centre constitutes an important step within the Trends strategy. It aims to expand the network of international partnerships with the world’s most prominent think tanks.
He explained that the dialogue that brought together the two institutions reflected the importance of employing scientific knowledge to read about the rapid geopolitical and economic transformations. Pointing out that the memorandum of understanding will open new horizons for developing joint research projects and enhancing the exchange of experiences.
For his part, Matthew Robinson stressed that the memorandum reflects a shared vision that believes in the pivotal role of scientific research and strategic analysis in understanding international transformations
