Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation during a phone call.
They also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
The call addressed the fraternal relations between the UAE and Lebanon, and various areas of cooperation and joint action.
Both leaders affirmed their mutual commitment to developing
these relations in a way that serves the interests of both countries and benefits their people.
Supporting the stability of Lebanon
The two sides reviewed the latest developments in Lebanon and the efforts being made
to consolidate Lebanon’s security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
This came amidst the developments unfolding in the region.
For his part, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
He also commended the UAE’s supportive stances towards Lebanon and its people, and wished the country continued progress and prosperity.
Consultations on regional issues
Bin Zayed and Aoun also discussed a number of regional issues of mutual interest, most notably developments in the Middle East.
They emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to enhance security and stability.
Furthermore, they reaffirmed their support for the peace process in a way
that serves the interests of the region’s peoples and contributes to achieving development and prosperity.
