Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming its categorical rejection of any actions that threaten the Kingdom’s security or sovereignty.

It also stressed that Bahrain’s security and stability are an integral part of the security of the GCC states.

His full solidarity with Bahrain

In an official statement, the Council affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain

and its support in confronting any threats to its national security.

It also reiterated its support for all measures taken by the Bahraini authorities

to protect its territory, maintain the security of its citizens, and preserve its stability.

The Gulf Cooperation Council stressed that attacks targeting member states constitute a threat to regional security.

Furthermore, it called upon the international community to assume its responsibilities

and take decisive stances to deter any practices that could destabilize or escalate tensions in the Gulf region.

The importance of respecting the sovereignty of states

The Council also reaffirmed the importance of respecting the sovereignty of states, non-interference in

their internal affairs, and adherence to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

This would contribute to strengthening regional security and peace.

The statement indicated that the GCC states will continue to coordinate their positions

and work together to protect the security of the region and defend the interests of its peoples.

It emphasized that Gulf solidarity is a fundamental pillar in confronting regional challenges.

It further explained that this solidarity contributes to maintaining stability and development in the region.
