Paris, France – Edge, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, and Naval Group (NAVAL), a global company working in maritime defense systems and maritime security solutions, signed an agreement during the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition. To conduct a series of launch tests of the Sky Knight air defense missile from Halkin. Using Naval Group’s Rambart multi-purpose and modular launch system.
The agreement, signed between Naval and Halkin, a subsidiary of the Edge Group that specializes in the production of smart weapons, represents the next stage of cooperation between the two companies. It will support the integration of the Sky Knight missile with the Rampart system. Expanding the potential options for maritime operators seeking flexible, multi-layered air defense capabilities in the face of evolving air threats.
The series of tests will be conducted in the UAE between 2026 and 2027, starting with a land testing phase before moving to sea shows.
Integrating experiences
The program will combine Naval Group’s expertise in integrating naval combat systems and weapons launch technology, and Halkin’s advanced capabilities in developing and manufacturing missiles.
The integration efforts reflect a shared commitment to providing adaptable and cost-effective defense solutions. Meets emerging operational requirements across multiple domains.
By integrating a highly advanced short-range air defense system with a modular naval launch architecture, the cooperation seeks to give operators greater operational flexibility. Enhancing readiness to carry out tasks, and providing more effective capabilities in confronting increasingly complex threat environments.
