Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wasl FC officially announced on Monday the signing of Brazilian player Leonardo Spadacio from Kalba FC. This move aims to bolster the team’s ranks in preparation for the 2026-2027 season.
Al Wasl posted a welcome video on its official X platform announcing the deal, commenting: “Starting from the 2026-2027 season.. Leonardo Spadasio is now an Al Wasl player,” confirming the player’s joining the ranks of “The Emperor” starting next season.
Spadacio’s move to Al Wasl came after his contract with Kalba expired at the end of last season. This brought to a close a three-season stint with the “Tigers,” during which he delivered outstanding performances that made him a key player for the team.
Al Wasl hopes to benefit from the abilities of the 26-year-old player, especially as the club seeks to strengthen its technical options and compete strongly in various local and continental championships during the next season.
Spadacio played 25 matches for Kalba in various competitions last season, during which he scored one goal and provided two assists.
The Spadacio deal is Al Wasl’s first summer signing, through which Al Wasl seeks to build a team capable of continuing to compete for titles.
