Dubai, UAE – Dubai Chambers discussed with a number of government agencies and economic and investment institutions, in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, mechanisms to enhance trade and investment exchange between Dubai and Ethiopia.
In the presence of the Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, the chambers held a meeting with the Ministry of Industry in Ethiopia, with the participation of the Minister of Industry, Melako Alibel. The two sides discussed opportunities to develop cooperation in industrial sectors, and mechanisms to support partnerships between the private sector. Which contributes to enhancing trade exchange and opening new horizons for joint investment work. The chambers also met with the Ethiopian Investment Authority, in the presence of the Authority’s Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zenabo Yebja. The meeting discussed opportunities to attract investments and enhance cooperation in priority sectors.
The chambers also held a meeting with Ethiopia Investment Holding Company, which is considered the largest sovereign fund in Africa, in the presence of the company’s Executive Vice President, Melikit Sahlo. The two parties discussed cooperation opportunities and mechanisms for building long-term partnerships that support economic development and provide new opportunities for companies and investors from Dubai and Ethiopia.
