Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE continues its steadfast approach of supporting the region’s security and stability, in coordination with regional and international partners. This is based on its firm commitment to maintaining regional security and stability and sparing the region’s peoples the repercussions of conflicts.
The UAE condemned, in the strongest terms, the Iranian attacks and threats targeting the country and countries in the region. Which included launching approximately 3,000 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones towards the UAE. This resulted in deaths and civilian injuries. In addition to damage to civilian infrastructure, this is a clear violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that all measures taken by the UAE came within the framework of defensive measures aimed at protecting its sovereignty, civilians and vital infrastructure. In line with the state’s right to protect its national security and preserve its stability.
The ministry stressed that the UAE reserves all its sovereign, legal, diplomatic and military rights in the face of any threat or hostile action. Attempts to exert pressure or promote malicious allegations will not affect its firm positions or deter it from protecting its supreme national interests and safeguarding its sovereignty and independent decision-making.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed that the UAE continues to coordinate and consult closely with member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Alongside regional and international partners, to support regional security and stability and promote joint Gulf action.
