Abu Dhabi, UAE – The match between Kalba and Khorfakkan ended in a goalless draw, in the game that took place on Tuesday evening as part of the 24th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Kalba raised their points tally to 24, placing them eleventh, while Khorfakkan reached 26 points, securing eighth place.
The first half was of average quality, with Kalba having a slight advantage in possession at 53.7% compared to 46.3% for Khorfakkan, without any real danger to either goal.
In the 32nd minute, a goal scored by Khorfakkan with a header by Adama Diallo was cancelled due to offside after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology.
Despite Kalba’s dominance, Khorfakkan was the more active offensively, with 6 shots, 2 of which were on target, compared to 3 shots for Kalba without any significant threat.
In the second half, the two teams exchanged attempts, and Diallo almost opened the scoring in the 51st minute with a shot from inside the penalty area, but the goalkeeper saved it.
Kalba relied on Ahmed Noorallahi’s movements to penetrate the defense, and almost snatched the lead in the 77th minute through Nemanja Jovic, but his shot went past the post.
In the 81st minute, Sekou Gassama squandered another opportunity, firing his shot over the bar. The match remained level until the final whistle, a closely contested encounter that ultimately lacked a decisive goal.
