Abu Dhabi, UAE – On Wednesday, Tanzeef announced the signing of long-term agreements that include the sale and supply of raw materials across its chemical business portfolio. Including methanol, polyvinyl chloride, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, caustic soda, salt, and natural gas. With a value of 104.6 billion dirhams ($28.5 billion), during its participation in the “Make in the Emirates 2026” platform.

The duration of the agreements ranges from five to 25 years, and ensures securing global demand and providing reliable local raw materials. This contributes to supporting large-scale chemical production in the UAE. Establishing a “strengthening” role in building an integrated local system for chemical industries.

Sales agreements

These deals include sales agreements with ADNOC and Broman to supply methanol, and Emirates International Aluminum Company for caustic soda. Mitsubishi Ethylene Dichloride, Vinyl Chloride Monomer, and Caustic Soda, and Mitsui & Co. Ltd. Ethylene Dichloride and Caustic Soda. Sanmar group for ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride monomer, and Tricon for polyvinyl chloride, ethylene dichloride, and caustic soda. With Finnmar, a supplier of ethylene dichloride and polyvinyl chloride.

The agreement signed with Emirates International Aluminum Company includes the supply of about 200,000 dry metric tons annually of caustic soda. It constitutes an important step within the framework of national efforts to achieve industrial self-sufficiency.

The agreement strengthens the position of “Tanzeed” as the first major supplier of caustic soda produced in the Emirates to the Al Tawila Alumina Refinery of the Emirates International Aluminum Company. Which is located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi “Kizad”.

ADNOC Gas signed a 25-year raw material supply agreement to supply the Methanol Enhancement project with natural gas. With a value exceeding 18.4 billion dirhams ($5 billion).

Providing reliable and sustainable supplies

Tanzeef also signed a 20-year salt supply agreement with Abu Dhabi-based Sama Salt Production Company. Supporting production processes in the PVC complex of “Enhancement”.

It is worth noting that these agreements, taken together, contribute to leveraging local resources to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of essential raw materials. This contributes to strengthening local value chains and supporting the UAE’s industrial self-sufficiency.

The Reinforcement Zone for Chemical Industries is planned to produce 4.7 million tons of chemicals annually once construction is completed in 2028.
