Manama, Bahrain – The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting civilian sites and facilities in the United Arab Emirates using missiles and drones.
It described these attacks as a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region
and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Bahrain condemns Iranian escalation
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these attacks constitute
a clear violation of the principles of good neighborliness and a breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
Furthermore, they pose a direct threat to freedom of navigation and global energy security.
The Ministry stressed the necessity of halting these practices, which target regional and international security.
Bahrain reiterated its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and affirmed its complete support
for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its sovereignty, security,
and stability, stemming from the close fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries at both the political and popular levels.
Call for deterrent international action
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community, and the Security Council in particular,
to take a firm stance and deterrent measures against these repeated attacks.
This is essential to ensure the protection of civilians and vital infrastructure, and to enhance maritime security and regional stability.
The Ministry also stressed that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a direct threat to international peace and security.
It further emphasized the need for urgent international action to prevent
an escalation of tensions in the region and to guarantee respect for international law.
