Dubai, UAE – The ninth edition of the UAE Vice President’s Cup for Jiu-Jitsu will begin on Saturday at Shabab Al Ahli Club in Dubai. With the participation of 9 of the country’s elite clubs and academies, in one of the most prominent stations of the local season.
The preliminary rounds of competitions will open on Saturday. The titles will be decided on Sunday by holding the final matches, and crowning the top three finishers in 4 main categories. They are adults (over 18 years old), youth (under 18 years old), juniors (under 16 years old), and cubs (under 14 years old).
The results of the last edition reflect the expansion of the competition, after the titles were distributed among four different clubs. Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club was crowned champion of the Cubs category. Al Ain Club won the junior title, and Al Jazira Club won the youth title. Bani Yas Club won the senior category title, in a scene that embodies the similarity of levels and enhances the chances of competition for the title between different clubs.
