Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received His Excellency Nikos Dendias, Minister of Defence of the friendly Hellenic Republic.
The meeting addressed strategic relations between the two countries. It also discussed prospects for joint cooperation.
Repercussions of the Iranian attacks
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the security and economic repercussions
of the Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and several other countries in the region.
These attacks pose a threat to regional security and the stability of international navigation.
They also affect global energy supplies and the global economy.
Strengthening the strategic partnership
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised the visit of the Greek Defense Minister.
He emphasized that it reflects the depth of the strategic relations
between the UAE and Greece and the latter’s full solidarity with the UAE following these attacks.
The two sides also reviewed avenues of cooperation and joint action
within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting focused particularly on defense and security matters.
Supporting shared growth and development
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed affirmed the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Greece.
He also noted the growth and development of these relations across various sectors,
thanks to the support and guidance of the leadership of both friendly nations.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State,
reflecting the commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Athens.
