Readiness of the pharmaceutical sector

Al Kaabi explained that the pharmaceutical sector in the UAE enjoys a high degree of readiness and stability. This is due to a sophisticated system that ensures the continuous availability of medicines according to the highest standards of quality and safety. She also affirmed the healthcare system’s ability to respond effectively to various regional and international developments.

Supporting local manufacturing

She noted that the UAE has successfully enhanced the capabilities of local pharmaceutical manufacturers by developing legislation and regulations that support the sector. This contributes to achieving self-sufficiency and strengthening the stability of the pharmaceutical market, especially in light of the challenges facing global supply chains.

Field visits and expansion plans

Al Kaabi’s remarks came during an inspection tour of several factories, including Medisal Pharma and Adkan Pharma. During the tour, she reviewed current production capacities and future expansion plans. The visit also included an examination of the advanced technologies used in manufacturing and the adopted quality standards.

Company officials affirmed their commitment to ensuring the continued availability of medicines in the local market. They also emphasized their commitment to strengthening cooperation with regulatory bodies, which supports the country’s pharmaceutical security system and reinforces the sustainability of supply chains.
