Abu Dhabi, UAE – Shabab Al Ahly returned to the top of the UAE league standings after defeating their host Ajman 1-0 in the match that took place on Wednesday evening.
Shabab Al Ahly met Ajman at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium, as part of the 14th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Ahly’s Kon Santos scored the winning goal in the 24th minute, bringing their points tally to 35 and returning them to the top of the UAE league standings. Ajman, meanwhile, remain on 14 points in tenth place.

Ajman tried to equalize in the second half, and the 66th minute witnessed their most dangerous attack with a shot from Dino Hotic, which hit a Shabab Al Ahly defender and went out for a corner kick.
Al Ahly’s youth team responded to their guest with continuous pressure to add a second goal and secure the win, but the final touch in front of the goal was missing.
Ajman’s coach made two substitutions in the final minutes to try and revitalize his attack and snatch an equalizer, but the score remained unchanged until the referee blew the final whistle.
