Washington – Microsoft’s “Global AI Diffusion Report” for the first quarter of 2026 reveals a massive leap in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, with usage now reaching 17.8% of the global working-age population. The report highlights an exceptional performance by the United Arab Emirates, which has taken the lead as the world’s top adopter of these transformative technologies.
Unmatched UAE Leadership
According to the official data, the UAE achieved an unprecedented adoption rate of 70%, the highest in the world. This milestone reflects the success of national strategies aimed at integrating AI into labor sectors and production cycles, further cementing the UAE’s position as a global hub for technological innovation and the digital economy.
Shifting Global Map
On another front, the report noted significant progress for the United States, which climbed to 21st place globally in diffusion rates. Analysts suggest these figures represent a radical shift in global work environments, where AI has become an essential tool for boosting productivity. This rapid growth is expected to continue as more advanced tools enter the labor market in the coming months.
