Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Emirate of Abu Dhabi has reaffirmed its leading position in global rankings, topping the list of the world’s safest cities for the tenth consecutive year since 2017, according to an international report issued by Numbeo, a platform specializing in global security, quality of life, and cost of living indicators.

This continued achievement reflects Abu Dhabi’s advanced global standing in establishing a comprehensive system of security and stability. It also underscores the Emirate’s success in providing a safe and attractive environment for living, working, and investing, thus enhancing the quality of life for both residents and visitors.

His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, stated that this advanced global ranking is the fruit of a wise leadership vision and the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. He added that it was also achieved thanks to integrated institutional work and the tireless efforts of Abu Dhabi Police personnel around the clock. He noted that these efforts are based on advanced proactive strategies and the effective use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence. It also relies on a conscious community partnership that forms the first line of defense for the security and stability of society.

Al Muhairi explained that Abu Dhabi’s security approach is based on developing human capital, strengthening institutional cooperation, and empowering the community through awareness campaigns and active participation. This approach also includes continuous investment in smart systems that support decision-making and enhance public safety in accordance with global best practices.

For his part, Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, affirmed that this achievement reflects the success of the development vision that has made human security a cornerstone of sustainable development. This vision has also contributed to establishing Abu Dhabi as a leading global model in urban security and quality of life.

He noted the emirate’s commitment to continuing its path of development and innovation, building a safer and more sustainable future. Furthermore, this reinforces the confidence of the community and visitors in the advanced level of security and police services in Abu Dhabi.
