Dubai, UAE – The liquidity of local financial markets exceeded AED 326.16 billion during the first seven months of this year. It was distributed at 131.85 billion dirhams on the Dubai Financial Market, and 194.31 billion dirhams on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market. This comes after trading 92.16 billion shares, through executing 6.27 million transactions.
The market value of the shares listed in the two markets amounted to about 3.85 trillion dirhams, distributed as follows: 960.37 billion dirhams for the shares of the Dubai Financial Market. And AED 2.889 trillion for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
The Dubai Financial Market index closed at 5,795.93 points, while the Abu Dhabi Securities Market index closed at 9,914.62 points.
Real estate sector shares in the Dubai Financial Market accounted for 45.52% of the total trading value. Equivalent to AED 60.01 billion, led by Emaar Properties shares, which accounted for AED 47.83 billion in trading.
The banking sector came in second place, with trading amounting to 27.58 billion dirhams, followed by the industrial sector. The value of trading in the shares of the companies listed therein amounted to approximately 20.7 billion dirhams.

During the first seven months of this year, citizen investors in the Dubai Financial Market turned to buying, with a net investment of about 4.96 billion dirhams. After recording purchases worth 66.88 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 61.92 billion dirhams.
Citizen investors in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market also turned to buying, with a net investment of about 1.41 billion dirhams. After recording purchases worth 101.81 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 100.4 billion dirhams.
July close at high
In a related context, the Dubai Financial Market closed trading on Friday, the last session of July, up by 0.1% at 5795.93 points. Supported by the growth of the banking, public utilities, and basic consumer goods sectors, its market value increased by AED 271.62 million.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index also rose, at the end of trading in the last July session, by 0.362%, or the equivalent of 35.8 points. It closed at 9,914.62 points, achieving market gains amounting to 5.97 billion dirhams.
