Cairo.. The UAE competes for first places in the Arab Chess Championship

Cairo, Egypt – UAE players, both male and female, are competing for the top positions in the Arab Youth and Junior Chess Championship. Currently being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at the conclusion of the fourth round of competitions.

Players Anoud Issa and Moza Nasser Al Shamsi are at the top of the under-18 category, with 3.5 points for each player. Ohood Issa also strengthened its chances of competing for first place with 3 points, half a point behind the lead.

Player Mohammed Youssef Al-Ali continued his distinguished results under 18 years old, raising his score to 3 points, to occupy second place, equal with eight players, and one point behind the leader. To remain among the most prominent candidates to compete for the first places in the decisive rounds.

The under-14 competitions witnessed the brilliance of player Rashid Hussein Al Hammadi with strong results that raised his score to 3.5 points. To move away by half a point from the Egyptian leader, Fares Ahmed Mostafa.

Sisters Mira and Amna Saqr Al Marri advanced to second place under 14 years of age, with 3 points for each player. As the tournament enters its decisive stages.

In the under-12 competition, player Saqr Khamis continued his positive results, after collecting 3 points that placed him in third place. He retained the opportunity to compete for the lead, and Hafsa Issa came in fourth place in the under-10 category with 2.5 points.

Player Nour Rashid maintained her chances in the under-8 competition by being in third place with 2.5 points from three rounds. Half a point behind the lead.
