Tehran, Iran – Iran’s acting defense minister affirmed that his country will not stand idly by in the face of any threat to its national security. He emphasized that Tehran considers any threat “real and present” and requires full preparedness to address it.
The Iranian official explained that the Iranian armed forces are closely monitoring regional and international developments. They are maintaining the highest levels of readiness to counter any actions that might target the country’s security or interests. Furthermore, he stressed that defending Iranian sovereignty is a non-negotiable priority.
He added that Iran will not allow any party to impose new realities by force. He noted that the country’s defense and military capabilities have been developed to ensure a response to any potential aggression. As circumstances dictate, Iran will act accordingly.
These statements come amid escalating regional tensions. There are continued exchanges of warnings between Iran and several international and regional actors. Additionally, there are concerns about a wider military escalation in the region.
