Budapest, Hungary – Paris Saint-Germain were crowned Champions League winners after defeating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties. The match ended 1-1 after extra time in tonight’s final.
Paris Saint-Germain met Arsenal at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, in the final of the continental championship.
Arsenal opened the scoring early in the sixth minute through Kai Havertz, who unleashed a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that nestled into the roof of the goal.
Ousmane Dembele equalized for Paris Saint-Germain in the 65th minute of the match, after successfully converting a penalty kick into the net.
The score remained unchanged throughout the remaining minutes of regulation time, as well as during extra time. Therefore, the match went to penalties, which Paris Saint-Germain won.
With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain adds another title to its European trophy cabinet. It has won the Champions League title for the second time in its history and the second time in a row.
