Dubai, UAE – The Asian Basketball Federation has approved Shabab Al-Ahli Club’s hosting of the first window matches of Group 1 of the Asian qualifiers for the 2029 Asian Cup. Which will be hosted by Dubai during the period from 26 to 31 August.

The first group for the West Asia region includes the teams of the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Nepal. Its competitions are held in a single-round league system.

The UAE national team will begin its campaign against Nepal on August 26. Then the Kuwaiti national team on August 27, then Bahrain on August 28. He will conclude his matches by facing the Omani national team on August 30.

The second group for the West Asia region includes the teams of Kazakhstan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Kyrgyzstan. While the teams of the East Asian region compete in two groups, each containing 4 teams.

The top three finishers from each group qualify for the second window, with a total of 12 teams. To compete for eight seats, she joins 16 teams ranked across the continent. To compete in the third and final window qualifying for the 2029 Asian Cup finals.
