Al Ain, UAE – “Amrak”, the advanced military center for maintenance, repair and Umrah, launched the “Amrak Pioneers” program. The strategic national initiative aims to attract, develop, train and employ young Emirati talents and competencies. To work as trainee technicians within the military aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul sector.

This initiative comes within the framework of AMRC’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s vision, which focuses on localizing specialized national capabilities in the engineering and technical sectors. By preparing qualified personnel to work in the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul sector.

Integrated development path

The “Amrak Pioneers” program is based on an integrated development path that combines theoretical learning and practical training inside barns and workshops within the advanced “Amrak” facilities in the city of Al Ain. Under the supervision of specialized experts and engineers, providing the opportunity to learn about the latest advanced technologies in the field of maintenance. Which contributes to building advanced technical and operational capabilities, and preparing national competencies ready for the future.

The program gives young people the opportunity to enter a promising strategic sector, through a career path that focuses on technical jobs. With opportunities for professional development, supporting the UAE’s vision of building an economy based on knowledge and skills. It enhances localization and development of national competencies in the aviation sector.

Attracting Emirati national competencies

The program aims to attract, train, and employ 100 trainee technicians from the UAE by 2030. In a way that supports building a sustainable base of national competencies and enhances the readiness and sustainability of aviation and defense sector operations in the long term.

Jassim Al Marzouqi, CEO of AMRC, said: “The AMRC Pioneers program represents an extension of AMRC’s commitment to developing national competencies capable of leading the future of the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul sector in the UAE”. Based on our belief that investing in people is the true basis for enhancing readiness and operational excellence in vital and strategic sectors.

Al Marzouqi added: “The program reflects our vision of building an integrated professional and technical path that links education and practical application within actual operational environments”. To prepare a new generation of qualified Emirati technicians according to the highest international standards. And those capable of supporting the competitiveness of the country’s aviation and defense sector in the long term.

The “Your Pioneer” program is designed to be more than just a training initiative. It provides a clear development path that begins from the first day that members join your order as trainee technicians. Within an environment that combines theoretical learning, realistic operational experience, and precise technical specialization.

The “Your Pioneers” program includes two main phases, including foundation, theoretical learning, and intensive practical training within operational maintenance facilities. Participants gain specialized field experience in areas including aircraft structures, engines, components, and specialized technical services.
